we are family on mission

The thing that unites our church family together is not age or common interest, but the fact that we've all been rescued by God's grace. Our mission is simple: invite others to join our family of grace. We want to introduce you to the God who showed us incredible grace.

Take a look around to see how you can get involved!

campus pastor:

Al Gilbert

God has blessed me with a Godly wife (KK) and four grown children and 11 grandchildren!

God has also given us the privilege of traveling and seeing His hand at work in many places around the world.  We have a great sense of stewardship in what we have been taught, the people we have met and the opportunities we have been given.

I am currently serving at the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the SBC — as the Exec. Director of Church Mobilization while I also serve as the Campus Pastor for Woodstock Church/Shallowford in Marietta, GA.

In all of these things, our greatest treasure is knowing Christ as our Life!

associate pastor:

Jonny day

I have been married to my sweet wife, Kerri, for almost 3 years and we are excited to currently be in the adoption process. I grew up in Woodstock, Ga under the leadership of our head pastor, Dr. Johnny Hunt.  In 2014 God blessed me with the opportunity to serve as one of Pastor Johnny's two mentees for that entire year. I am also working to complete my Advanced Masters of Divinity at South Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Lord has blessed us with immeasurable more than we could ever imagine and we live to serve Him in all we do.

We are honored to serve as the worship leaders here at Woodstock Church Shallowford.  Our hearts desire is to shepherd a community of believers in a time of worship that glorifies our Lord Jesus Christ and lead them to experience his presence.  We are natives of Marietta, Georgia so its a privledge to serve in our local church! We are blessed beyond measure to walk through this life with eachother and our precious son Reid.
